Happy birthday 16 month baby girl! Yesterday we celebrated with an afternoon visit to G&G H. They Are on vacation this week didn't want to take a trip b/c they would miss you tooooooo much :) (they had the same problem last summer too). So instead they have invited us on every mini trip to Branson...which we LOVE! Last weekends trip included Blair and Cole. We ate at lamberts and had a great time at SDC!
So anyway, Birthday...After some birthday snack pizza you and I stopped by the NHS girls softball game and took some yearbook pics and you learned your first Nevada cheer ( LET'S GO TIGERS- CLAP-CLAP-CLAPCLAPCLAP). Your birthday meal was Kraft Mac and Cheese! G&G B. Came over for a while and brought you a cute Halloween top and leggings which you loved b/c the spider had bulging eyes...you love bugs! Your big thing now is, "ready, set, GO" which you played with everyone yesterday and loved it! You were so tired when G&G B. left that you sat in front of the door and cried ( I sat with you...daddy even came over too). You were only awake for about 4-6 minutes after they left. I thInk you had a fantastic 16 month birthday! We love you more and more every single day!!!

Shots.

You are such a HAM! You love to make everyone laugh, and you actually look to make sure that everyone is laughing/looking/watching/giving you their undivided attention at all times. You seem to be personally offended if you believe otherwise!

This past weekend we spent time with Aunt Brooke and Uncle Darrick, and Cole is in town now too. Yesterday you had to have a shot and when we were walking into the room where the actual shot takes place, you began to pat my back and whimpered "Amy....Amy....noooo....Amy" it was gut wrenching, and I wanted to cry. Thank goodness we won't have to go back for two months now, and then you will be finished for a really long time.

I'm finished with work now and going to pick you up from Sally's. I think we may go visit Cole now.

Last day of summer 2011

It's pretty crazy to think that tonight marks the end of our second summer together! Funny too that although so much has changed over the past twelve months, yet tonight finds the two of us snuggled up together on the down-downstairs couch :) I must say my personal favorite snoozing spot in this house. You slept in your crib the first part of every summer night until daddy decided one night a couple of weeks ago that it was too hot in your room. So after a couple of restless nights in bed with daddy and several nights of vacation...we are on the couch!

Tonight I'm only sad that we won't be able to sleep till eight and then lounge around in bed watching Barney till nine...eat breakfast together ( I would scarf down toast and PB or grits while trying to coax you into a few bites of rice or oatmeal cereal while you drug everything out of the cabinets) all the while I would attempt to enjoy reruns of Rachel Ray $40 a Day. After we usually went for a run. Sometimes we would run to see daddy, once to see grandpa H. And most times to Radio Springs Park. After our run you would almost always be asleep so I would carry you to your bed where you'd sleep while I showered. Then daddy would come hone to eat an then we would play or nap again and then hurry and clean up before daddy came back home around five.

I will not be sad for you to go to Sally's though...we've been a couple of times and you have been sad to leave! I do not think I would mind staying home with you either though, we have so much fun. It has been so great to spend all of this time watching you grow and change every single day....it has been priceless, truly something I wouldn't trade for anything in the world.

COLE FACE

Today you sPent the morning with Grandma Bishop while mommy and daddy looked at a house. When we went to pick you up you had learned to squeal " no no" when grandma read "little pig, little pig, let me in"! You also learned to blow blow blow when grandma would read the huff and puff part! You are Soooo smart!

You loved uncle cole! He was home for a couple of days and you warmed up pretty fast and the two of you became fast friends :) he taught you to do the Cole Face with your tongue out, and when we asked you to say cole you did! You cried when he left, and pointed at his picture before we went home, and you said "coole"... It was so cute!

Later we were at grandma and grandpa Headricks and you jumped off the ground twice!!! AND, you are reallllllly great at saying "One", and holding up one finger...alsO tonight Grandma got you to hold up two fingers when she said "two"!
