Tonight daddy dropped you off at the Y for the end of swim team practice ( he was headed to the high school boys basket ball game in Carthage). The girls circled around you and you enchanted them with your knowledge of various body parts. You loved their applause, and cried when they started to get up to go home, so o course they sat back down for a bit more fun.
After practice we went to grandma and grandpa Headricks, where you dined on birthday chicken strips and French fries.
You kept mentioning poop, and after your poop in grandma B.'s potty the night before, we places you on the potty and you pooped again in the potty. We of course clapped and cheered and you bid the poopy bye bye with a celebratory flush and basked in the glory of your birthday poopy!
Once home we watched Mickeys Christmas special and finally daddy came home just in time to spark a late night round of tickle, chase, and all sorts of other rough and tumble non-bedtime appropriate play... Including the two of you and the best sport of a cat on the planet! Obviously good fun or max the cat would never stand for the abuse!
You are finally in bed now ( guest bed, not the crib) with a bottle, the sound of the ocean lulling you to sleep, daddy watching the news, and mommy typing these last words before crawling in beside you. We will sleep like this until I get up just after 4:30, and daddy crawls in for his sleep time. It's a good life, the best 19 months ever! We love you!!!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING
Thanksgiving morning came super early! Mommy headed out to grandma and grandpa H.'s at 5:00am to retrieve the turkey, then to Walmart, and home to cook the turkey. You and daddy were sleeping soundly.
Daddy took off for a run and you woke up shortly after he left...around 9:30. We hung out in bed watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. You loved the "balloons". Mommy ran without you do to the chill in the air, and you and daddy showered and dressed for the day.
After my run I showered and changed, packed up the turkey and headed to grandma and grandpa H.'s. Grandma and Grandpa Bishop and Helen joined the festivities as well as all of Grandpa H.'s family. GG was in Heaven this year so he couldn't make it (GG night night is what you say).
We ate and then walked down to the nature trail ( a sort of memorial to GG). All of your second cousins played and ran and laughed, it didn't take long for you to warm up to them. You carried around a ceramic baby duck from the
Nature trail, and jabbered away.
After our time down at the bluff, daddy, cole cole, Hannah, Gavin, Gwen and Byron played a version of tag that required retrieving an action figure from a flower pot and making it up to the deck with your whole team. It was. Wry entertaining to watch! You mimicked the running on the deck thoroughly enjoying the sound your shoes made on the wood.
Later that evening daddy went home to relax before work the next day ( just daddy, not you and I ). We stayed and put up the tree. It was really neat to put the ornaments from when I was little on the tree with my little girl.
It was a fantastic Thanksgiving...probably the best ever!
We went home late and Friday mommy got up early for practice and then we spent the morning with Cole Cole before he headed back to Columbia for work. We decorated more and you pushed your shopping g cart around outside insisting thy you wear a basket around your neck a a purse of sorts?!
After Cole Cole left, we spent the evening at Silver Dollar City at the Christmas celebration. We saw the lights show, you rode the froggies and the bugs and then we watched the parade. All of the parade characters came up to you to...you are just too cute!
After the parade we spent some time in the olde time church and I got a great picture of you smelling the tree!
You also loved they taffy store, I kept telling you it was like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory...you really liked the taffy too.
On the way home we stopped for some fine dining at mcDonalds ( one of your faves already). You ate your happy meal hamburger just like a big kid, it was really cute!
We made it home late bit we do the entire trip! It was such a fun fun day! I could see us making SDC a little tradition for our Black Friday vs shopping!

11/11/11
Yesterday was supposed to be the luckiest day of our lives (even though next year we will observe 12/12/12...but whatever). The day started off well, after a week of strep, a viral infection, hacking smokers cough, high temps, three visits to the doctor, and a week home from school and work; you were finally at Sally's and I was at work. But at around 9:30 Sally called and you were throwing up. Grandpa H. And Blair Blair were off yesterday so Grandpa picked you up from Sally's and you only threw up one more time on the way home. Your high temp never returned thank goodness and I think the throw up was due to your two huge molars pushing their way into your left and right top gums.
I was able to leave work before noon . You were tired by that point and fell asleep on Blair Blair's lap for a while before we headed home. You watched tv for a while and dosed off in the chair watching Barney.
You and I spent the evening with Grandma and Grandpa H. we had Grandpa's famous "Sunday Night Supper" Carmel apples and popcorn ( you had pizza and olives as well) and we added the Carmel, that was not part of the real deal when Grandpa was a kid. Regardless, we had lots of fun and had a full time job trying to keep the un-popped kernels out of your mouth!
Even though we had fun, you still wouldn't let me out of reach and we headed home early. Blair Blair came over for a while to play with you until you got tired and then we watched four Barney's and you fell asleep.
I guess we didn't win the lottery or anything on 11/11/11 but I feel pretty lucky to have you!
This morning you are still wearing the sweet camo tee Sally put you in after you threw up, and you are finding tons of entertainment in your two bottles of medicine ( which you love to take, you actually giggle when I pull it out?!).
