Happy Birthday Garrity

We woke up today at Gowah and Pats. You popped up and said,"Babe". When you asked for milk in the wee gours of the morning I snuck up to the kitchen and draped the table with a lovely plastic Dora table cloth, balloon, and a big girl Dora sippee cup! When you went Upstairs and discovered table was decorated in Dora you were so excited to see the awesome Dora balloon. You immediately realized that Gowah and pat were sleeping. You sprinted into their room for your now normal weekend routine of sneaking into their room and crawling in bed to cuddle( a favorite of Gowah and Pat). Once everyone was awake (minus Cole Cole) the fun began! You played and ran and watched Dora and Bubble Guppies. I wrapped your Birthday gifts and we ate breakfast. You opted for toast...you like to lick the butter off and then eat the toast. You also ate some baby oatmeal. You had pooped while I fixed it and when I offered to change you, you sprawled out under and chair and said," I'm eating". It was pretty cute

At just about this time (midnight'ish) two years ago, daddy and I left for the hospital. This night two years ago I had no idea what to expect, I had no idea how much I would love you! I mean, obviously I knew I would love you, but until you've held the tiny little baby that grew inside for so long...you just have no idea how intense that love could be! Daddy and I have been crazy in love with you since the moment we saw your beautiful little face. Perfection.

Today, two year later, we celebrated your second birthday at out new "golf house" with Grandma Pat and Gowah, Grandma Madelyn and Grandpa, Blair Blair and Unkie Shane, Cole Cole, Brooke, Darrick, and Baylor, and Jack and Shirley. You told mommy you wanted a Wizard of Oz party... So that's what mommy planned! It was pretty great... Ruby red cake and all!

Tomorrow we plan to celebrate the actual date with a more low key celebration with Dora plates and cups as the main decor!

Stairs 4/26/12

We've been staying with Gowah and Grandma Pat. Tonight you reached over the edge of the stairs to touch Max the cat and tumbled over the top. I leapt after you! I grasped and slid and fell and finally jumped several stairs and landed on the third to last and caught you. I have a huge rug burn amongst other things...but you were merely shaken and scared...thank goodness.

Garrity's First House

We're leaving you're first house. As we pulled away I said, "say bye bye to Garrity's house"...and you did. Now I'm really sad. I remember crying almost two years ago when we pulled onto west Walnut with Baby Garrity. I cried that day as we turned into the drive because I knew that I would always remember how special that moment was, and I dreaded this day when we would inevitably leave Garrity's house.
