August 6, 2013 (week 7...6 weeks of pregnancy accomplished!)

Today I made my first trimester appointment with Dr. Russell. I also confirmed it was safe to continue to run, as well as what rides were safe on our upcoming vacation to Disney World.
* Still lots of nausea, round ligament cramps. Not much cramping if any at this point!

July 31, 2013 (week 6 of pregnancy)

July 28th

Today we shared our exciting news with a few close friends: Mike McGuire! We went to pick him up and took him to Garrity's favorite McDonalds just off Johnson drive! Mike and Garrity played games and we surprised him with our news!!! He was super excited!!! We also told the Ecklecamps! Everyone is super excited to meet you!

This week you are about the size of an apple seed...however, you are still managing to make me feel awful :(

This morning I feel a little more woozy than usual...

July 31st
Morning sickness is here. I've felt awful all day except from about 6-9pm...probably because I had a hair appointment and went to dinner with the Bishop's after and that kept my mind off my queasy stomach! We headed downtown after daddy got off work and stopped to grab a tropical snow at a super trendy cool tropical snow place just off Westport. When we got down to the hair place...Garrity didn't want to ride with daddy to pick up Grandma and Grandpa Bishop from the airport. (They have been on vacation to visit one of Grandpa Bishop's classmates.) So, while daddy headed to the airport, G and I walked around downtown and checked out a few kitschy little boutiques. Then G was hungry and cranky...so we stopped at a sushi restaurant and had some edamame and steamed rice. I had a fully cooked shrimp tempura roll. (Of course then worried that maybe a dirty knife had been used to cut my sushi and vowed to not eat sushi until you were safely out of my tummy!) Daddy called to let us know he was back with G&G B. during sushi and we headed out to meet them, and then straight to my hair appt. Big sister has spent so much time with me this summer that she did not want to leave me alone at my appt. so everyone walked me in :)
After my appt. I met everyone at a super cool little hole-in-the-wall place featured on the popular show Diners Drive In's and Dives: Grinders. I had a piece of pizza...I've been craving things until today too...now nothing sounds that great. I haven't thrown up, but feel like there's a big heavy ball of yuck in my stomach! Needless to say, the pizza just didn't taste like usual :( I think my DQ cravings are over after tonight!

Blogging for TWO...the great debate

When I found out I was pregnant last summer, the first thoughts after the excitement of becoming a mommy to another beautiful baby, was how to handle THE BLOG. Obviously I wanted to create a string of virtual memories for both of my babies, however, I wasn't exactly sure how to achieve that goal. So, I did what any mommy would do and I asked Big Sister Garrity how she would like me to handle the situation at hand. Big Sister Garrity's explanation was simple, share. That being said, I would like to fulfill her wishes and try to combine the blogs into one Bishop Baby extravaganza...now I just wish I had done so prior to writing 60+ posts in a blog titled: Baby Bishop...

7-31-13 ( Week 5 of pregnancy)

Ughhhhhhhhhhhhhh..........it's official, I feel awful today. I got up to run and thought better of it, I went back to be thinking I'd get 2 more hours of sleep and then run with G later. Turns out Bo's alarm woke G up a little after 7...so no run (which would have made me feel better probably) and no sleep (which would have also probably made me feel better.)

July 30, 2013 (5 weeks 2 days pregnant)

This morning I'm feeling a little more woozy than normal.

July 28, 2013 (5 weeks pregnant)

July 26, 2013 (4 Weeks 5 Days pregnant)

Today I felt sluggish and tired all day! We didn't do much...raining. No run because of the rain. I have been craving weird things...like egg on toast with peanut butter?! Mac and cheese with some syrup...the only sugar I had all day, but still?!
We are in KC at the KC house. G is having a hay day playing in her little tent on top of our bed
I love hanging out at the KC House...it's so fun and relaxing here! We love to walk to the Plaza (G calls it "town") and we love to go to the park and play too!

I'm so excited to become a mommy again and I just can't wait to feel your squirming little body kicking around in a few months!

4 Weeks 3 Days Pregnant with Baby Baby Bishop (7-24-13)

I ran today with Garrity around 10:00am. It was tough pushing her today...10-11 minute mile pace. I got really hot on the way back to the KC house. After showering I was so hungry...but nothing sounded good. I opted for a cucumber, cheese, mayo, and hoisin sauce sandwich :) Cucumbers sound wonderful to me right now :)

(7-21-13) WE ARE HAVING A BABY!

Today we found out we will welcome a new member of our family on March 30, 2014.

I knew something was up. Today is Sunday and I just had a weird feeling that today was the day. Last night we had been invited to go to the Eldo Picnic with Grandpa Gary and Grandma Madelyn...but it was rainy, so we all decided not to go. In the meantime, Gowah, Grandma Pat, and Cole Cole (visiting from Columbia...and hardly EVER in Nevada) invited us to dinner IF we didn't go with the Bishop's. When I accepted the invitation from my parents, Daddy informed me that his parents had invited us to dinner in lieu of the picnic... and  reminded me that it was probably considered rude to decline since we had already accepted their previous invitation. I was livid (not sure why) but I was really mad. I thought that since Cole was in town that it made the most since to be with them. I was so convinced of this, that I was crying (first indication that something was a little wonky with my hormones?!) Fast forward to this morning (we ate dinner at Iguana Azul with the Bishop's) and I just peed on the stick shown above and confirmed my suspicions!!!! We are having a baby!!!!!

Garrity and Grantham

Well, after months and months of deliberation, I've decided to convert this Baby Garrity blog to the Garrity and Grantham blog. When I originally started blogging, I never dreamed that we would be blessed with two Baby Bishop's!? So, naturally I titled the blog Baby Garrity and started writing, essentially, letters to my baby! Now with two babies, I'm at a loss as to how to go about documenting our lives for years to come, while being fair and giving Grantham and Garrity each the proper online baby books!? I started blogging for Grantham as soon as I discovered I was pregnant, and I've continued to do so for the past six months...however all of the posts remain in the land of drafts. Until today my one loyal follower (Auntie Blair Blair
) your wish will be granted in the form on hours of reading bliss...I will combine the blogs into one and as a result, do a much better job documenting our lives for all of the web (or just Auntie Blair Blair) to enjoy!
