HAPPY BIRTHDAY PARTY

The day started as the 28th turned into the 29th. You did not sleep at all...guess you were too excited about the big day?! We finally got up for the day around 4:30am, and got ready for the day. After getting ready we went to Daylight doughnuts to get doughnut holes for your Birthday party at Sally's. By the time we go to the doughnut shop, you were asleep. As we were pulling into the shop, Blair sent me a couple of pictures from the day before and the day you were born...I just started crying. It has been such a year. It has gone by so incredibly fast, that I just couldn't imagine that you had been a part of our lives for an entire year!
After getting doughnuts, I took you back home and went to school. The Royal Wedding had happened just as we were getting up for the day, and we missed it! So, we spent the day at school watching and re-watching the wedding. You spent the day playing at Sally's with your pals.
Around 2:00 I headed to Jenny's California Cafe to pick up your cake and cupcakes for your party the next day. I also picked up three latex balloons (two pink and one black) to take to you at Sally's. Daddy took off early and was to meet us at Sally's at 2:30pm in order to share in the Birthday Celebration!
Sally was ready with the special treats when daddy and mommy got to Sally's.

Today was your first birthday party! I realized last night when I was rocking you inthe middle of the night that I had not posted on here on your actual birthday...it made me really sad, but daddy and I were so busy preparing for your party on you birthday after you fell asleep last night, that time slipped away and it was today before I knew it!

Happy Birthday Eve!

Tonight is the eve of your FIRST BIRTHDAY! On April 28, 2010 Mommy went in to the hospital for a procedure that was supposed to speed up the whole process to get you here sooner than later! After a day of hanging out in the hospital with Grandma H., eating cheese cake and chatting with G&G H's coworkers, Dr. Russell decided that Daddy and Mommy could go home and rest, and then come back on Friday April 30, 2010 at 7am and Dr. Russell would induce Mommy and really speed things along. We left the hospital around 9pm and we were back by midnight, and at 8:17am you were here! You did most of the work...and when we met you, we knew we loved you so much!

First Easter

This past weekend marked your first Easter! Easter Sunday was your second morning to wake up in your big girl crib! Saturday night we ate at the club with G&G H., Auntie Blair, and Cole. After eating you went home with Grandma H. and we all went to the movies to watch Scream 4. Daddy watched the original Scream 4 times in in the theater when it came out. Uncle Cole had already seen Scream 4 in the theater one time, and so we all wanted to go! You had fallen asleep after a busy day at G&G's and when we decided to  go eat at the club we thought we should wake you up so you would fall asleep for the night. Not smart...when you went home with Grandma,  you played until 11am! Finally you fell asleep! You only woke up a couple of times and b/c I truely believe you have been trying to tell me that you want to sleep alone...each time you would wake up I would rock you back to sleep and then put you back in your crib.

Sunday when you woke up, you were still sleepy I think from staying up sooooooo late! The Easter Bunny had come to visit! You really liked your basket and loved your chair! After checking out your Easter goodies, we changed and went to G&G B.'s house for breakfast.

Then we went to church in El Dorado, and then headed to G&G H.'s for Easter lunch!
