Happy 11th month BIRTHDAY!!!
Happy Birthday! Only one month left to plan your perfect 1st Birthday party! Tonight mommy, daddy, and of course YOU went to the club for dinner for your Birthday! You were perfect! You sat in the high chair and entertained yourself until your special ordered single chicken strip was served! Even then you sat and ate your chicken along with the most entertaining peas in the world, and several bites of mashed potatoes and gravy! It was a perfect nigh!

Happy St. Patricks Day!
It's the Friday of our first spring break together! Daddy took off today and we had originally planned to spend the day at the CClub golfing...but it's only 55 degrees out vs yesterdays 80 degree weather! So, we are heading to Joplin to go to Toys R Us and other shops to do a little Birthday Girl shopping! You are asleep in the back seat in your ultra chic Chico Car seat... Possibly for the last time. We we went to see DR Russel Wednesday for your well baby visit and you weighed 20.5 pounds! Which means you are ready for your next stage of car seat! This car seat will still face the rear until April 29, then you will be old enough and big enough to face the front!
At the Dr visit we learned that you are in the 95th percentile for height (up from 75th at your 6 month visit) and 50th percentile for head size and weight! You are REALLY tall, and very petite...you are wearing your last summer dresses as super trendy tops this summer!
So I mentioned the beautiful weather yesterday... It was great! Auntie Blair took the day off to celebrate St. Patricks with us! We went to the park for the first time ever! YOU LOVED IT! You loved the slide the most...the swing was "ok" but I think you could have played on the slide ALL DAY! You weren't afraid at all! You got a couple of bumps and bruises but as long as you were sliding...you were a-ok! I can't wait for the next beautiful day to take you to the park!

3.5 hours in your bed...alone
Last night I gave you a snack before bed...rice cereal. You gobbled it up(3 bowls) while standing by the kitchen sink entertained by the newest episode of the Duggars/19kids and counting...we found out that GrandDugger #2 is a boy. After you ate Soooo much, I decided to sprinkle a bit more into your bottle. You literally passed out and I slipped you into your crib without so much as a twinge from you! You slept from about 10pm-1:23am. I heard you cry out and you were sitting up in your crib when I got to you. Once I picked you up you totally fell back asleep on my shoulder. However you kept crying out in apparent pain from that time until about 3:30am. I think you may be growing new teeth.
Tonight you ate an entire jar of baby food Mac and cheese for dinner and it took you a bit longer to fall asleep... So we aren't going to try the crib tonight. You are snuggled up in your blanket in the couch while i am typing.
You have been speaking more and more here are your newest words, mind you NO/DON'T/DADA/MAMA/HI THERE/ HI are the only really clear words, the following are words you are speaking, just haven't perfected:
Chicken (super high pitched...learned from Peekaboo Barn)
Bye bye
You are also trying to back up to almost anything to sit down! It's your newest skill!
Tomorrow is Wednesday of spring break...we haven't done much so far. Monday it snowed, and today we did go to lunch in the square with daddy, and walked around with our cupcake dessert...super fun! After we shopped for a shower gift for grandma Pat and stopped by the hospital to deliver the gift. We of course.made the rounds while there. Everyone was amazed that you were walking so well!

2nd hour in your crib...ever
You are becoming so independent lately! You interact like no other 10 month baby (happy tenth month by the way...February only has 28 days, you didn't have an official tenth month birthday). It's been a while since my last post, mainly because you are running around like a wild banshee!
Daddy is skiing this weekend, so it's just you and I. We have been hanging out with G&G H. and Auntie Blair. Last night I rocked you to sleep and you slept for one whole hour in your crib (second time ever at night) and then you woke up...I was asleep on the floor next to your crib, so as soon as you rustled around I was there to get you. I don't think you even had time to get one full cry out b/f I was picking you up. That was the plan, so that you wouldn't have time to be scared. I think that is important. You have never felt scared or alone or afraid. You are so happy...all the time, and I really think that has something to do with it. Mommy or Daddy one is always there to make you feel safe, so you are totally confident and HAPPY! HAPPY! HAPPY!
So you have had the walking thing down for some time, and now you are venturing more with your speech. Today you said baby very clearly, as well as mooooo...as in cow. Mostly your vocab consists of: mama, dada, hi there, and you can kind of say something that sounds like bye bye. You cough when provoked, and hiss at kitty's, or when I would ask you what the kitty says today you would hiss! That's what G.H says when you try to pet the kitty Mocha, "Hisss mean kitty". Today when you were getting ready to jerk a crystal dish off of the shelf at their house, Grandma H. said to you, "what does Grandma say?"She was totally hinting at NO NO, and you hissed at her! We all laughed and laughed at you...but you were totally right!
Tonight we ate at the Buffalo Grill in Ft. Scott. You were tired and grumpy at first. When we were finished eating, you were walking around the dining room, people loved you...you look so incredibly tiny waltzing around! When they took us upstairs to view the ballroom where NHS will have prom (mommy is a class sponsor this year and planning the function at the grill), you took off! YOU LOVED IT! It was amazing how fast you were...so totally cool! You are such an amazing little person!
