Vaccinations and Daycare

3pm-So I finally mustered up the courage to call your sitter. I cried. She invited us to come over this afternoon and pick up our paperwork. We also have to get your first round of vaccinations. Grandma H. suggested that we not tackle these two tasks in one day...more for my sake than yours. TIME OUT...you just pooped...I could hear it from the table to our island. OK...changed and ready to go...ughhh this is gonna kill us both :) sidenote- just buckled you in and gave you your dolphin that makes ocean sounds and little giraffe blankee and which you automatically put up to your mouth ( a new thing this week...everything in the mouth) and were sucking your thumb! so cute! I am a master one handed typer. I have you in you carrier on my left arm and typing with my right!

4:27pm- Ok visit to Sally's complete. You slept the entire visit except for a few minutes during which time you looked around at the little munchkins peering in at you with a look of utter disgust :)

Vaccination round one complete. I am splitting your vaccines due to the fact that some drs. attribute multiple vaccines at one time to triggering autism. I am not taking a chance with that...you are perfect and I plan to keep you this way!!! So today you had your first vaccine which contained the vaccine for whooping cough which apparently is a concern for infants right off the bat, and two other things...this vaccination was not "sepparate-able" so we actually got three for one...but only one hole was put in your body today. I expected the nurses at the clinic to be disgusted with me for wanting to split your vaccinations but if they were the hid it well. We do have to return in two weeks for round two, other than that they didn't express any concerns. The shot itself was not bad at all! I had to hold you on my lap and you were a little fussy anyway since I had to disrupt your nap, so when she gave you the shot you just took your fussyness into a full blown cry. It was comparable to your reaction to using the blue bulb to suck the yuckiness out of your nose in the mornings...maybe even less of a reaction than the blue bulb got at first! I did tear up at first at the sound of your cry, and then promptly put the bottle in your mouth and you were silent! Thank goodness. Now I have to watch for a fever and grumpyness if you have either of these symptoms I am to give you a dose of tylenol...hopefully you will not need anything.
