Granby Ranch Day 1

After the rocks were purchased, and Daddy was located, we were ready to head to Fraser, CO to pick up the ski harness they were holding for us! The store was called The Ski Broker. www.wpskibroker.com/

This place was amazing! They had a special going that allowed us to put your ski rental on Tate’s and we were charged only the price of your helmet ($5/day) and your skis were free! We purchased your gloves, and the ski harness, as well as an Edgie Wedgie to keep your skis in place…and we were set! You loved your gray helmet so much you wore it into the grocery store and even took a little snooze while wearing the helmet!

After we got everything unloaded at the Granby Ranch, we were so excited to try out the

harness and Edgie Wedgie, that we headed to the side of the mountain and gave it a whirl!

The first go, you were obviously scared, but once you got your balance and got going, you were great! Without the harness and Edgie Wedgie, you wouldn’t have been able to keep your skis together (probably…who knows) but regardless…I would recommend both of these tools to parents of toddler skiers! AND you better believe I am super excited to be able to say that you started skiing GREENS with these tools at the ripe ol’ age of TWO! Not bad for a Missouri kid…and a mom who can boast a whopping two ski trips under her belt. Probably the most terrifying part of the whole ordeal was getting on and off the ski lefts with you! I had to first get myself and then plop you beside me…and then getting off was a whole different story altogether…but we just leaned forward and made it without a fall each and every time! I knew if I fell, you would never want to try again…and that must have been motivation enough to keep me on my feet every time! After you skied a few times, Daddy’s cousins arrived and they were able to watch you go down the mountain too!

After everyone was unloaded and the rooms were situated, everyone was ready for dinner. You wanted to stay with Tag (7) and Tevi (9) and Tannen at the condo while the rest of the grown-ups went to eat Mexican (you guys opted for McDonalds…you had a chicken- Mcnugget Happy Meal). We ate a restaurant called Azteca 395 E Agate Ave
Granby, CO 80446 (970) 557-3014…the food was okay, but they wouldn’t allow us to split the check…so that really tainted our feelings towards the place in general.

That night, we were all so tired, you actually fell asleep on the floor watching a movie with Tag, and came into the bedroom and requested to go to sleep…that rarely happens! I got some super cute pictures of you and daddy cuddled together sleeping.
